and to round out today’s posts, a really interesting article on teh wikileaks stuff about our military in Afghanistan. I’m really quite ignorant about all this, so it’s pretty fascinating (and depressing) stuff. Anyone see that Rhestreppo(sp?) movie?

Sooooo I know at least one of you already got starcraft II. I’ve played thorugh a little bit of the campaign, and impressions so far are quite good. I’ve only really checked out the terrans, but the large number of new units are both really cool and daunting. I suspect I will never ever be good at this game, but i intend to have a lot of fun with it. Also, graphics are very very pretty, and it’s cool seeing all the well animated crowds of units move around together.

Thoughts from the rest of y’all?

(also, the ability to legally download the game before it’s release and hten jus tinstall it on release day was quite awesome, imo. I used to get pissed at Steam for requiring an internet connection to play its games (for the copy protection), but I’ve come around and now I really like this digital way of distributing games. I espescially like the way steam and blizzard keep track of which games you own, so you can just redownload them to any new computer and not have to worry about losing/scratchign the game discs.

even though it’s advertising, I still think it’s pretty cool to build a giant slide in the subway station. Also, Josh – is Alexanerplatz one of the stops by you in Berlin? I can never keep my platzes straight…

This is a really good idea… you can download Starcraft II before it comes out, then just activate it on the 27th. I had wondered about this, because I had wanted to play it when it came out, but figured their servers would crash when I was buying/downloading it from online.
