Depressing article about just how many people are whole-heartedly believing the many rumors about Obama. I’m not a super-fan, but seriously? Born in Africa and becoming president so he can bring his family here illegally? C’mon, now. I’d actually be reasonably happy if McCain would take a second to shoot some of these things down, not that I think he really will. Seems like the honorable thing to do. But yeah, the ever-fantastic snopes.com‘s #1 article for weeks has been the one listing the many rumors and shooting them down, one by one.

Rumors

Monday, June 30th, 2008An article on the background of the whole Metallica debacle, as previously blogged on. Apparently the band weren’t too happy about it. The interview is with the editor of the review that held out the longest before taking it down. He’s actually benefited from the whole thing, he now admits, because Metallica have offered him an interview as an apology, whereas he couldn’t have gotten one before, being from too small a publication. He’s quite good at pointing out the band had nothing to do with it… he suggests American PR companies’ egos are in fact to blame.
Diablo III!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday, June 28th, 2008Holy crap! The page won’t even load, but as far as I’ve been told, the big blizzard announcement was Diablo III. You can check out the dead link here or refer to the page Shaun linked to in the previous post. I’m pumped and just praying it will run on my macbook.
p.s. http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/ is working well and has both a cinematic teaser and a gameplay trailer that shows just how awesome this will be.
Blizz
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008If you go here, you can either listen to or read an interview with the lead developer for Starcraft II. It’s pretty interesting, and focuses mostly on the zerg.
At diablofans.com, they’re going all kinds of bonkers over a supposed big “reveal” coming up. I guess there’re diablo runes hidden in a splash graphic on Blizz’s webpage, and they kinda look like they might form a pentagram, and who knows what else. Apparently the Blizzard Invitational is coming up or something, so who knows. Keep an eye on? Sure. Get too excited? Nah.
Big John
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008This is just in case Josh was thinking of ever coming back to the states.
McCain
Friday, June 20th, 2008Good and amusing article about John McCain and his election strategies. It goes on for a bit, but if you find it too long I’d still recommend skimming it for the author’s interviews with supporters at rallies: they’re pretty classic.
Here.

Monday, June 16th, 2008Though by no means my favorite, I have long thought Victor Wooten probably the best bassist alive. Well, now there’s proof.
Paper
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008Interesting article about scientists who have created paper tougher than cast iron. I was most surprised that they suggest the final product potentially being cheaper than regular paper. Since J does science and science did this, I congratulate J on his amazing discovery. Yay J!
Lazer Collection
Tuesday, June 10th, 2008Stumbled upon this interesting animation through a link on Weebl’s. It’s one of those “this is too stupid to not be funny” things I seem to be so fond of lately. Be sure to check out the second one, and the Mr. Octagonapus remix.
