Tuesday, March 31st, 2009Punch Out
Sunday, March 29th, 2009Quick but promising review of a remake of Punch Out (or Mike Tyson’s punchout if you bought it pre-rape) for the wii. Soooo many hours….
Prototype
Sunday, March 29th, 2009I was already pretty excited about this game, then they did "10 Reasons to Buy Prototype." Now I can’t wait to cause rampant destruction.
Art & Rock Show
Thursday, March 26th, 2009Apologies for the delay in getting this post out, but I just got the pictures from last weekend’s show. I had my second art show last weekend (March 20th & 21st) and was fortunate enough to have not only a great gallery space but also the help of my good friends Push the Apples. The show was two days only and we emptied out the gallery that Sunday, but only after having a fantastic opening / closing show. Push the Apples were generous enough to entertain the crowd with their music throughout the weekend. Overall the event was quite successful and we had a packed house both evenings with a nice stream of people throughout the day. Thanks to everyone that showed up and helped out!
State of the blog
Monday, March 23rd, 2009The theme hasn’t been changed yet, but I’ll probably do that sometime soon-ish. The authors now appear at the top of their posts. You can always change the name that appears there by editing your profile in the main panel. I also enabled captcha as opposed to moderating individual comments. Some comments will still be held for moderation if they contain a certain number of links / keywords / lots of freaking spam. Admin people, take a peek at the comments section on the left-hand side of the panel to see if there are any comments that need moderating. File anything spammish under spam. Thanks.
Tonga
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009Series of pictures from an undersea volcanic eruption off of Tonga. Pictures speak for themselves, here ya go: here.
Release the Hounds
Friday, March 20th, 2009I would have to say that perhaps my favorite part of Call of Duty: World at War is racking up enough kills to earn the attack dog bonus, then laughing in glee as my friends/adversaries (I call them “frienversaries”) swear at me with moderate skill. However, some killjoy in high school here in MA is protesting this (on account of you can kill the dogs), and hopes to get enough signatures to take the matter to the games developers.
Tutti Frutti
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009I missed this, but apparently Little Richard’s first hit, “Tutti Frutti” is a song about anal sex he used to sing in gay clubs. The original lyrics are enlightening.
Seth McFarlane’s Cavalcade
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009Not sure how I missed out on this when it started, but most of these are awesome. Head over to YouTube to check em out.
New Engine…Temporary Look
Monday, March 16th, 2009I’m not saying that 2003 was a bad year, but I think it was time to update the blog engine. B2 was on the cutting edge and I figured that WordPress has proved itself over the past few years, so I’ve officially upgraded the blog!
Everything should work fine, but that’s only in principle. Please let me know if there is anything wonky going around. The usual people should still be able to post and login with the same passwords, etc. Comments may appear in moderation while I get the spam thingy right. You should be able to find the login link on the right hand side in the lower section of links.
I’d really like to thank Aral Balkan and and his b2 to wordpress conversion script which was more than a lifesaver.
Last but not least, I’ll be working on a new theme when I get a bit more time. Enjoy.
p.s. all of the post categories have been reset – deal with it and (for the authors) make some new categories on the right hand side of the dashboard.
